HS Design Build is a family owned and operated business in Castle Rock, serving South Denver and the greater Douglas County area. We are a trusted, quality general contractor that is here to help you with any design and construction needs.
This may include basement finishing, a kitchen remodel, a bathroom remodel, or home expansion. Lead Contractor and Owner, John Blicharz, is a veteran with over 30 years of experience in the building industry. His extensive knowledge and expertise allows us to deliver quality work and realistic project costs. Our bids are all encompassing and we never sacrifice quality. As a result, ninety percent of our projects come from referrals and by word of mouth. We believe this is what sets us apart from competitors.
Our Lead Contractor and Owner, John Blicharz, is a veteran with over 30 years of experience in the building industry.
HS Design Build was established by owner John Blicharz in 2010. Since then, we have been delivering quality basement finishing, basement remodeling, kitchen remodels, kitchen renovations, kitchen makeovers, bathroom remodels, bathroom renovations, and home expansions. Our work spans Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Littleton, and Greenwood Village.
JOHN BLICHARZ | OWNER + LEAD CONTRACTOR
John established HS Design Build in 2010, after leaving a national home builder in Denver. He is the owner and lead contractor.
Background + Experience: A Colorado native, John grew up in Evergreen, Colorado. Coming from a family of tradesmen, John began training as an electrician at the age of 10. After college, he worked for the industrial construction group at Coors Brewery. After Coors, he started his own building company, which he ran for 4 years.
Taking a hiatus from the construction world, John trained to became a helicopter pilot for the US Army. He served for 6 years. After flight school, he and his family returned to Colorado where he worked for a national home builder for 14 years. He then established HS Design Build.
Hobbies: Working on cars, boating, and working out
Special skill: He can fix ANYTHING
JT BLICHARZ | PROJECT MANAGER + BID SPECIALIST
JT joined HS Design Build in 2017. He is a project manager and specializes in project bids.
Background + Experience: JT attended Colorado School of Mines where he studied engineering and played football. After school he ultimately decided that the family business was for him and officially joined HS Design Build.
Hobbies: Gaming, watching football, cooking and building computers
Special Skill: He is our very skilled in-house tech guy!
