About Us

HS Design Build is a family-owned and operated business in Castle Rock, serving South Denver and the greater Douglas County area. We are a trusted, quality general contractor here to help you with any design and construction needs.

Our Lead Contractor and Owner, John Blicharz, is a veteran with over 30 years of experience in the building industry.

This may include basement finishing, kitchen remodels, a bathroom remodel, or home expansion. Lead Contractor and Owner John Blicharz is a veteran with over 30 years of experience in the building industry. His extensive knowledge and expertise allow us to deliver quality work and realistic project costs. Our bids are all-encompassing, and we never sacrifice quality. As a result, ninety percent of our projects come from referrals and by word of mouth. We believe this is what sets us apart from competitors.

We recently had our basement finished and our deck replaced by HS DesignBuild and, frankly could not have been more pleased with our experience!

The basement ended up having 3 bedrooms, a full bath, a home theater room, storage and a game area. The deck is notably larger and nicer (considerably better built) than the previous unit. The quality of work, the quality of people working, the timely execution were all excellent. Pricing was fair and very competitive as we interviewed quite a few to end up selecting John, JT, and Brittany.

All went above and beyond to make sure all aspects were presented, discussed, and taken care of. Highly recommend!
