We love a project that transforms a space in all the right ways – and this one was quite the transformation!
EXISTING CONDITIONS
The original kitchen on this project included all white cabinets/counter tops and was segregated from the living space. The client sought to open up the kitchen to the living area for one cohesive family space. In addition to that, the client desired to update the kitchen design.
DESIGN + TRANSFORMATION
This transformation swapped the original design for a transitional look – one that brings modern touches to a traditional style. Kitchen upgrades included white shaker cabinets, a custom vent hood, a new cherry island, quartz counter tops, a farmhouse sink, subway tile and new white appliances. An increase in natural light and a sense of openness was created by demolishing the wall between the kitchen and living room. Final touches included new floors and replacing the double casement window with an awning window.
