Silver Aspen Master Bath Remodel

Top-of-the-line finishes took this master bath to the next level!

EXISTING CONDITIONS

One look at this master bath and you understand why this client went for a full overhaul – this bathroom was very dated! The entrance to the bathroom was a hallway from the master bedroom (no doorway). The hallway included his and hers closest as well as a water closet. The hallway opened up into the bathroom which consisted of a corner vanity, a built in tub, and a shower. Finishes included a green stone tile, with a beige stone backsplash. A mixture of brass and bronze was used for hardware, the shower enclosure, and fixtures. The bathroom was fully carpeted.

This bathroom was in need of some privacy and ready for some upgrades!

DESIGN + TRANSFORMATION

BATHROOM ENTRANCE – This bathroom was entirely open to the master bedroom and the client wanted to change that. We framed in the opening to create more privacy from the bathroom. A barn door was used for the bathroom entrance.

SHOWER – The existing shower was framed-in and had sliding glass doors. It had a standard shower head. The transformed shower included many upgrades. The wall between the shower and tub was reduced down to a low wall, and a bench was added. A full glass enclosure was used, rising all the way up to the ceiling. This was to accommodate a steam unit for the shower. A smart steam control panel was added inside the shower. The shower head was upgraded and a hand-held unit was added. Finish upgrades included a white subway tile on the walls, a 1×1 carrara mosiac tile on the ceiling and floor, and a quartz slab (arezzo, polished) for the top of the shower curb, bench and wall.

BATHTUB – The existing bathtub was built-in with steps leading up to it and a ledge surrounding it. This was removed entirely to make room for a gorgeous freestanding tub. A shelf and ledge were built into the wall behind the tub to make room for bath supplies and additional decor. Finish upgrades included a white subway tile on the walls and a 1×1 carrara mosiac tile on the floor. A black, freestanding faucet was added adjacent to the tub, accenting all other black hardware in the bathroom.

VANITY – The existing vanity wrapped the corner of the bathroom and included separate his and hers sinks. This was revised and condensed to fit onto one wall. The back wall was freed up to add an exterior door to a private deck off the bathroom. The new vanities included top-of-the-line Crystal cabinets, lighted mirrors, quartz countertops, and black fixtures/hardware.
