BEFORE
EXISTING CONDITIONS
Sitting at the front of the house this kitchen has a linear arrangement. It is long and narrow with a dining nook at the end.
The existing kitchen was all warm tones. The walls were a soft buff and the cabinets were tan. The speckled granite countertops were tones of black, gray and tan. The backsplash was a black granite tile.
Normally, we love warm tones and how they cozy up a space. However, this space needed help to feel larger and the warm tones weren’t doing the trick.
AFTER
DESIGN
For this remodel, the client did not plan on expanding the kitchen so they thought of other ways they could make the kitchen feel lighter, brighter and larger. They selected white cabinets and a light backsplash. With new light fixtures, paint and a new stain on the floors this kitchen feels totally different! The white cabinets, light backsplash and new paint make it feel light, bright and refreshed. This renovation was a total transformation, which we love to see.
